3 Ways to Make Your Dog Super Active

With winter rapidly approaching, we have to make sure our dogs are getting the maximum time outdoors. Sometimes when we see our dogs romping around, we don’t think they need more time for exercise, but crazy as it seems, dogs need more than humans do!

Ways to Keep Your Dog Active

Go on a walk or run.

Wake up a couple of minutes earlier and take them for a brisk walk around the neighborhood. Or go for a nice run after work. Most dogs need a certain amount of exercise to release all their energy. It’s not only healthy for the dogs, but for you too!

Play in the backyard.

We always spend at least 20 minutes a day with our dogs in the backyard, chasing them and throwing the ball around. It is just another way to get them active.

Utilize your local doggy daycare.

Once the weather turns, it’s almost impossible to go for a long walk with the pups. Why not send them to a local doggy daycare for the day? Sometimes, dogs need other dogs to get them on their feet.

Bonus: Make sure to feed your dogs healthy treats after all these activities! Our pups recently tried Zuke’s Enhance Mobility Peanut Butter Formula Dog Treats and they absolutely loved them! I like that support hip and joint health for those active, larger dogs. They are also grain-free and loaded with natural healthy ingredients. Plus, my dogs LOVE anything peanut butter flavored, so that is an added bonus!
