I wish when we were starting puppy search, I knew about PuppySpot. The website has great information on all types of dog breeds, as well as puppies who are searching for their new home! If we didn’t already have two dogs (and a baby on the way!), I’d highly consider taking one of these adorable guys home!
They created a fun flowchart linking different personality traits in people, to their most compatible breeds! Of course, all puppies are adorable, but it’s important to make sure your lifestyle fits your dog’s specific breed. 🙂
Springtime is the best time for Bentley and Lambo. They love to run around the backyard, chasing one another, working up a sweat. After they have exhausted one another, they lay on the cool pavers and soak in some sunshine.
As dog owners, we continue to “train” our dogs, making sure we go over all of the commands and reward the pups when they are being a good “student”.
We received Caru’s Natural Treats recently and wanted to give the one of their newest flavors, Wild Boar, a try. They are a great treat to give the dogs after they have finished all of their tricks for the day. They’re made with real meat or poultry as the first ingredient (no ingredients from China) and don’t contain any wheat, gluten, corn, soy, or animal by-products.
Bentley, always curious when we have new treats, couldn’t wait to try it either!
After a fun day out in the sun, the dogs retreated to their crates and were each treated to Barkworthies All Natural Dog Goat Horn Chews. The chews are 100% digestible, which makes them a great alternative to traditional rawhide. They’re composed of a dense keratin outside layer with nutrient-rich marrow inside.
If we are being honest, my older dog was not a fan; he sniffed and licked and then decided it wasn’t for him. But my younger dog, who loves to chew anything (especially socks!) went right for it. These type of chews are great for those dogs who have an insatiable urge to chew. They are durable and challenging enough to offer hours of healthy, satisfying chew time. Make sure you have water readily available because your pup is going to need some water afterwards!
The best part? These premium chews are 100% all-natural, as well as additive, chemical and preservative free.

I invited Jennifer, from the South in the City, as our second guest post on Lunch with Lambo!
Jennifer and Cooper – welcome to our dog squad!
Hi I’m Jennifer! You can find me over at South in the City. I blog about my daily adventures in exploring a new city (yes even after almost 2 years its’ still so new), dating, being a dog mamma, my love for wine, and pretty much anything and everything in between. By day, I’m a social worker, navigating the world of therapy. You can also keep up with me on Instagram where I sometimes over post pics of my adorable little Cooper.
I’m a single lady! Yes, I just broke out in my most Beyonce-esque dance. Not only does being single have its own challenges, but being single with a dog presents even more.
First things first; if my dog doesn’t like you, this is not going to work out. I might be (am) pretty obsessed with my dog Cooper and of course I think he’s the cutest thing ever. I am his mama. So if he doesn’t like someone I’m dating, it doesn’t look good for the guy. And let’s be honest, can you really trust someone if your dog doesn’t like them?
My pup is spoiled. Yes, I realize that’s on me, but honestly I have no shame in it. However, it can interfere in my dating life. For example, if I so choose to have a fella stay the night, well let’s just say it’s a fight to who is sleeping next to me in bed. And nine times out of ten, my dog wins.
Cooper is like my child. He takes just as much energy and attention, in my opinion, as a child would. This can be both a pro and a con. I can’t just be frivolous with my time and not come home to let him out. Sometimes I don’t always get to stay out or do certain things because I have to come home and attend to him. On the flip side, it can be an excuse to get out of a horrible date or engagement that I’d prefer to skip.
Not everyone is into dogs. Yes, this is a hard concept for me to fathom, but I’ve realized as a single gal, that some guys I’ve dated are just not into dogs. There was even one who owned a cat. No offense to those that love cats. I am NOT a cat person. Nor do I find it attractive for a single man to own a cat. I don’t know, it just screams socially awkward!
While owning a dog as a single person has had many difficulties, I wouldn’t trade him for anything. He snuggles with me at night. He listens to my endless complaining and heartaches about men. He celebrates milestones and all of my daily adventures with me. He’s been my rock through it all and I love him to pieces. And I mean, how could you not?! That face!!!
Just because your dog is no longer considered a puppy, doesn’t mean you should stop training them. We make sure to always go over commands and tricks we want our dogs to know. We are constantly reviewing the tricks and commands. Dogs love consistency.
Bentley is five years old and Lambo just turned one. The little guy learns from his older brother and Bentley is constantly reminded that he needs to always be on his A-game.
We tried the Wellness Pure Rewards Grain-Free Jerkythis week while reviewing tricks with the dogs. They couldn’t get enough of the 100% grain-free treat. It is made from sustainable meat and full of juicy flavor. They’re guaranteed to be over 90% meat, making your best buddy 100% happy. Perfect size for training!
The best part? Right now they are ON SALE! Treat your dog to some delicious treats today!
